Betting Types

Default - 1 x 2

This is as simple as betting gets. When you bet with 'Default' or '1x2' odds, you are simply betting on which team is going to win, or if there will be a draw. Using the Default odds is a great way to start out and will help you familiarize yourself with the betting process. If you are comfortable with this betting type, there are other '1 x 2' variations to test your skills at. Do you know your team well? You will have three betting selections:

  • Home Team Win
  • A Draw
  • Away Team Win

Variations of 1 x 2:

  • 1 x 2 First Half: Same as Default 1 x 2, wager on the match results at half time.
  • 1 x 2 Full Time Excluding Overtime: Wager on the match results at full time, minus any overtime.
  • 1 x 2 with Handicap: Same as above, only a team will start with an advantage.

1 x 2, Full Time Excluding Overtime

Description: Also known as the 'European Handicap', the premise is that a particular team will start with an advantage over the opposing team. The advantage is usually by a point or two. This will give betters a chance to wager on matches where the advantage has been swayed.

You will have three betting selections:

  • Home Team Win
  • A Draw
  • Away Team Win

Example: You are interested in Premier League Football. You see Chelsea and Arsenal are facing off shortly and want to place a 1 x 2 with Handicap wager on the match. Bet RedKings has assigned Arsenal a Handicap bet of +1.

  • In the case of a draw or if Arsenal wins (1-1, 0-1): The result for the 1 x 2 with Handicap is "1" because Arsenal had a positive handicap of 1 goal. So Arsenal would also win even with a draw.
  • In the case of a Chelsea win with a 1 goal difference (1-0, 2-1): The result for the 1 x 2 with Handicap is "X", because Arsenal had an addition of 1 goal so the handicap result is a draw.
  • In the case of a Chelsea win with 2 or more goals difference (2-0, 3-1): The result for the 1 x 2 with Handicap is a "2", because Chelsea wins despite the +1 handicap addition to Arsenal.

Correct Score

Description: Bettors are given several possible final outcomes in final score format. You must wager on what you believe will be the final score.

Selections: You are given several possible final score outcomes, all with varying odds.

Example: You selected Liverpool to win over Arsenal 2-1. If Liverpool wins over Arsenal by a final, overall score of 2-1, you win. Any other score is a lost bet.

Variations of Correct Score:

  • Correct Score Full Event: Wager on the correct score at the end of the entire match.
  • Correct Score First Half: Wager on the correct score for just the first half of the match.
  • Correct Score Full Time Excluding Overtime: Wager on the correct score at full time, minus any overtime.

Double Chance

Description: This Betting Type will allow you to bet on two of the three possible outcomes of the game: Home Win or Draw, Draw or Away Win, and Home and Away Win. If one of the two outcomes you have wagered on happens, enjoy the winnings.

Selections:

  • 1 x Home Win, or a Draw
  • x 2 Draw, or Away Win
  • 1 / 2 Home Win, or Away Win

Example: Liverpool and Arsenal match. You bet on 1 x. You win when Liverpool wins, no matter what the score, or if it ends in a draw. You lose the bet when Arsenal defeats Liverpool.

Home Away

Description: This Betting Type allows you to wager on which team will win the match; home or away. This is just like the 'default' Betting Type, except that there is not a 'draw' option.

Selections:

  • Home Win
  • Away Win

HT / FT (Half Time / Full Time)

Description: This Betting Type allows you to wager on your prediction of both the half time and final time result. To win your bet, you must predict the correct results for BOTH halves of the match. That is why you see tremendous odds with this Betting Type. If you get it right, you're in for a big payout.

Selections: Half Time / Full Time wagers will always have 9 different selections.

** Note: Keep in mind, you're not wagering on exact scores. Rather, you're wagering on "win, lose, or draw" per half.

Example:
1 / 1 - The home team must be the winning the match at half time and also the match winner.
1 / x - The home team must be winning at half time, but the final result is a draw.
1 / 2 - The home team must be winning at half time, but the away team is the match winner.

x / 1 - The match is a draw at half time, but the home team wins the match.
x / x - The match is a draw at half time, and the final score of the match is also a draw.
x / 2 - The match is a draw at half time, but the away team wins the match.

2 / 1 - The away team must be winning at half time, but the home team wins the match.
2 / x - The away team must be winning at half time, but the match ends in a draw.
2 / 2 - The away team must be winning at half time, and the away team wins the match.

Over Under

Description: You must wager on whether or not the total points scored in the game between the two teams will be over or under on the odds (or outcome) you believe will win. You will also notice that the 'total point' outcomes are all given a fraction of '0.25, 0.5, or 0.75'. This ensures a winner as teams cannot score fractional points. With '0.25, and 0.75' fractions, you're able to 'Win and Tie' your bet, or 'Tie and Lose' your bet.

This gives you an edge; where if the wager is placed on 'over' 3.75, and the outcome is 3, you win half your bet. Conversely if you bet 'under' 3.25, and the outcome is 3, you will only lose half of your original bet.

Selections: You are presented with different possible 'total score' outcomes: Typically between 1.5 and 4.5 - with fractions (0.25, 0.75) in between. These numbers represent the total score that you must bet Over or Under on. There is no 'draw' option.

Variations of Over Under:

  • Over Under First Half: Wager on scores to be over or under the given odds at half time.
  • Over Under Full Time Excluding Overtime: Wager on scores to be over or under the given odds at full time, minus any overtime.

Asian Handicap

Description: Asian Handicap is also referred to as 'Point Spreads'. This is a form of wagering where the perceived weaker team (or underdog) is given a number of goals head start over the favouring team. Conversely, the team favourite to win will be given a handicap in the form of negative points. This creates an even playing field for betting when two opposing teams are not congruently skilled. You will notice quarter and half points in these spread calculations as well; this forces a winner in the event of a tie.

It also decreases the bettor's risk; where bettors can 'win and tie' or 'lose and tie' - winning a portion of your bet or losing only a portion of your bet.

Selections: Quarter point increments (0.25, 0.5, 0.75) usually between a -3 and +3 point spread.

Variations of Over Under:

  • Asian Handicap First Half: Wager on the match winner at half time.
  • Asian Handicap Full Time Excluding Overtime: Wager on the match winner at full time, minus any overtime.
